Soooo It's been a While...That's an understatement....

So true story!! I legit feel bad ALL THE TIME that I keep forgetting to write on here!! I really do mean to!!

So quick update on whats happened in almost 2 years!!

Rest of 2015 recap...
Came home for Thanksgiving and Christmas and it was wonderful. Michael came home for Christmas and it was amazing. I was so excited for him to get to see his mom because it had been over a year since he had last seen her.

2016 Review...
First week of the year, the Bison won the 5th FCS championship in a row! Boom!

Michael and I decided to try and lose weight and joined weight watchers. It worked for a good chunk of time until about May when we reached a plateau.

May 6th, 2016....Michael took me away for a romantic weekend to Barnsley Gardens Resort and proposed!! Sooo amazing!! Hooray!! We're getting married!!

May 15th...my Mom and Grandma came and visited me for my birthday!! Yay!

After the spring quarter 2016 was over, I headed home for my summer break to get A LOT of wedding planning done!

Let's see what all did I get done....flowers, reserved cake and caterer, said yes to my wedding dress!! Yay!! Last, I asked all of my bridesmaids to be my bridesmaids!

When I came back from my summer break trip, Michael and I decided to get personal trainers to get in shape and healthy for our wedding/marriage! So far we are doing really good!! I have lost 30lbs and Michael has lost about 50!!

In August, my mom came back to Georgia to visit and Mom, myself, and my friend Chip went to see the Dixie Chicks in concert!!

The week after Michael and I got to see a twins game for the first time in 2 years!! They won even if we weren't at Target Field!

After summer quarter was over, I had a whirlwind last week of finals. I took 5 finals one week, that same week on Friday took Part 1 of National Chiropractic Boards, 2 days later took 5 more finals. Ugh....then I had 3 days to relax and Michael and I went and had our engagment photos taken!! That was a very fun day!! We drove back to where we got engaged and took our photos in the ruins.

Here's us waiting for our photographer to get there!

Here's some of our engagement photos!

After our engagement photo session, we went out to dinner at our favorite place, Seed!

Two days later, I went back home for my dad's 50th birthday party and NDSU Homecoming!

On Halloween, boards scores came out and I passed!!! So Michael and I went back to Seed to celebrate! Such a huge relief!!

For Thanksgiving, my Grandma Connie flew us to visit her!! We had a blast!!

After Thanksgiving, I powered through my last finals and got to have fun with my classmates before we all went our separate ways for Christmas break!

On December 17th, I flew to Minneapolis and met my bridesmaids and we went bridesmaid dress shopping!! Mom and Dad drove to come pick me up and take me to Fargo! Had a blast home for a week and worked/shadowed a chiropractor in his office!

On Christmas Eve, Michael flew into Fargo and we went to church and everyone came over to my parent's house for appetizers and family! Here we are on the way to church!

That night we drove to Michael's mom's house to avoid the Christmas blizzard that was on it's way. We got to his mom's house Christmas morning at 1am and went to bed. The next day we got to sleep in and just spend the next 2 days with them.

Dec 26th...That night we drove such a long time to get back in order for us to get to pre-marital counseling the next day. We made it, and that morning we got to do our counseling. The next day we went to our cake tasting and caterer tasting. I'm so thankful that Michael's mom was able to come to the cake tasting, because we don't get the chance to see her too often. After our caterer tasting, we also got to enjoy a free hotel stay at the hotel where we're getting married.

We had 2 more days of counseling left, and got to enjoy some restaurants that Michael hasn't gotten to try yet. The last day of counseling, after it was over we drove back to Grand Forks to see Faye and Roger one last time for a late lunch.

After we drove back to Fargo, my parents, Michael, and I went out to Vic's and played trivia in the bar while they had dinner. Then my parents dropped us off downtown and Michael and I enjoyed a night out on the town. While we were at the Old Broadway, we saw many old friends that we haven't gotten to see and one of them went out with us! It was so fun!

On New Year's Eve we went to Zorbaz to listen to our wedding band play and after a setback of Michael realizing he left his ID in Fargo....we were able to still hear the band for 2 hours so that's good!!

Our last night, we celebrated my Uncle Dan's birthday and had a fondue party!! So much fun!! Now we're back home and I had one last week to myself free! School starts tomorrow at 7am and as much as I don't want to be at class that early, I am excited for this year to begin because in 173 days I'm getting married!! Happy New Year everyone!! I will try not to take such a LONG break between posts!!

Vacation!

Hey People!

I've been in Fargo for the week! I go back to school tomorrow morning and left SUPER EARLY this morning!

It was fun being home, and I always hate to leave, but I'm so grateful I was able to come home. We pulled off an amazing surprise 50th birthday party for my mom! I'm so glad it's over, because all of the lying and secrecy was driving me nuts!! She was so surprised and I'm so glad we made it work!!

Not looking forward to going back to school in the morning, because it will be the hardest quarter I'll probably ever take here at Life.

Here's my classes:
Orthopedic Diagnosis
Pathology 1
Neuroanatomy: CNS (central nervous system)
Endocrinology
Skel Rad A
Immunology
XRAY Full Spine Analysis

Yuck! I might drop a class before the quarter starts, because I'm overwhelmed with what I just wrote lol. If I drop a class it will probably be Skel Rad A, but not sure. I'll see how the first week goes and decide. No matter want it will be hard!

That's all for now!! I'll try to update this quarter, but we all know how rare that is!! LOL! Bye People!

Week 10 of a whole different quarter!!

Since my last post, I am feeling a lot better, no pain anymore yay!!

I finished the quarter off and it didn't go that great, but this quarter has been going fantastic!!

Over the 3 week break, I went home and had a blast with my family. This quarter I have gone to no student clubs and haven't really gone out and boy, has it been paying off!! I'm doing soo good in all of my classes this quarter. I have already had one of my finals so far, and I have 2 coming up next week. Then the week after that I have 6, 3 of them are on the same day!!

Last weekend for Labor Day, Mike and I went to Orlando, Florida for a trip to Universal Studios and Walt Disney World. Universal was amazing, I had so much fun seeing Harry Potter World!! Mike and I went on every ride that didn't go upside down, lol. We were so exhausted when we got back to our hotel because we were there from 9am-9pm!! The next day we went to Walt Disney World. I'm such a Disney nerd, I was so excited to show it to Mike. Unfortunately, our day was less than magical. We went to two shows and only went on 2 rides. They broke while we were on them, and the 3rd ride broke while we were in line. Then it started pouring and every ride was closed. We were able to get our money back, but then we were soaked and just stayed at the hotel and ordered pizza.

Still, the weekend was fun since we never get to go on vacation together. That's all for now, I will try to write on here more often!! I always try, it just never happens very often!! Back to studying!!

Ouch!

I wish I had a happier thing to write about today, but I don't.

Yesterday, Mia called me and asked if Mike, Peach, and I wanted to go to a park downtown and walk our dogs together. Her dog's name is Murdock. We said yes so we went with her. When we were done, we decided to go get bubble tea (kind of like a smoothie) before we went back home.

I was in the back of Mia's car with Murdock, Mia was driving, and Peach was sitting on Mike's lap in the passenger seat. We were kind of lost so I was being navigator on my phone with GPS. Once we saw where to turn into for the parking lot, I looked down to shut my GPS off and BAM!! We were rear-ended FAST!!

I screamed and my head hit the seat in front of me. After the initial jolt, we all looked at each other and said "Are you okay!?" I just kept saying "my neck hurts." Then I burst into tears. I hate to say I get into accidents a lot (they're usually minor fender benders) so I'm usually pretty calm because I don't want to be the person who's crying in front of the police. (I'm so grateful we were all wearing our seatbelts, unfortunately mine was the back seat kind that only goes over your waist.) Mia got out to see if the other guy was okay, and he was.

Mike and I were trying to calm Mia down. I'm sure I wasn't helping cause I was crying. Thankfully Mike was very calm and was able to walk Mia through everything while waiting for the police.

I sat in the car with our dogs who thank God are okay too. After the police left, Mike drove Mia's car back cause she was too shook up to. We got home and dropped Peach off and then got to the hospital so I could get checked out.

After a CT scan, X-Rays, waiting for a very long time, and realizing we weren't going to get to watch the Paquiao/Mayweather fight, we finally got our results. I was told that thankfully nothing is wrong with my brain and no fractures, but that I just have really bad whiplash.

I got discharged and got some prescriptions. Then Mike drove me to the pharmacy so I could get them filled. When we finally got home, (10!) I made some quick dinner and took my meds and went to bed.

Woke up today, and I feel worse. Everything is more sore than it was yesterday. Took more meds and now I'm just laying in bed. I'm just going to rest today. Please pray for a speedy recovery for me!! That's all for now people!!

Midterms!!

Today I had my second midterm. I wish I could say it went great, but it was really hard. I'm just praying I passed. I will be spending the whole weekend studying either at home or in the library because starting next week I have 4 midterms and then 4 midterms the next week!!

Once I finish all of my midterms, the next day will be my birthday!! Yay!! Still not sure what I will be doing, but there is no school cause national boards are going on!! Later people!!

Procrastination

Before I spend my whole day at my desk studying, I thought I'd update. I also get an excuse to not study, lol.

Here's what's going on in my life. I have to practice adjustments and in the lab that I'm in our teacher takes pictures of us practicing. So here is me practicing!!

In other news, I had 3 exams this past week. 2 100s and 1 70.  :( I should be upset but this class is X-ray physics. It is very hard for me, so I'm just happy I passed.  It's all about what goes on in the X-ray machine. I know it can't be that hard of X-ray techs don't go to too much school for it, but I'm lost. So I will be reading the book and notes all over again after this to try and catch up!

In other news, Peach got all her shots updated yesterday and I felt bad so we took her to the Dog Bakery and she got a bunch of goodies!!

That's all for now!! If you need me, I'll be doing this!! Later people!!

If You Only Knew How Hard I Try To Update This...

So since my last post, I've been going on turbo drive!! It was the beginning of Quarter 4 last time. Quarter 4 is over and now it's the beginning of Quarter 5!! Which means, I've now been in chiropractic school for a year!!

Last quarter I was able to pass all of my classes even though it was very stressful!! This quarter is going to be just as stressful with even more credits. Plus, 6 out of 8 of my courses have labs, so I'm always on campus in class!! I spend 38 hours a week in class!! AHHH!!! Talk about a full time job for sure!!! The only nice thing is that I'm to a lot of the "fun" stuff now so I enjoy being in the labs.

So, let me catch you all up on what happened last quarter!!

On Jan 27th, Mike and I celebrated Peach's 1st Birthday!! She got really spoiled!! We took her to Petco so she could get a new toy and then we took her to to Dog City Bakery where we got her some treats and a mini-birthday cake!! She really likes her birthday. Lol

Not too long after Peach's birthday. I went home to go to a concert, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, at the Fargo Theater with my family. It was awesome, and was so nice to get to spend the weekend with my family!! I got to leave a day early that week too because we got a "snow storm" here so I had school cancelled all week!!

On March 12th, my parents and my brother flew out here to celebrate my baby brother's 21st birthday!!! It was soo much fun to get to see them for the weekend!!! After they got here, we went out to dinner. After dinner, Mom, Dad, and Mike went to bed and Jack and I waited up til midnight so Jack could have his first drink!!!

We might have overdone it that first night, LOL. Jack was so excited he wanted to try everything, and even though I made sure he drank 2 waters after everything, I think it was just too much mixing different liquors. The next morning for Jack's "full" birthday we went out for lunch, but he wasn't feeling too well so he went back to sleep. My parents and I went on a little tour of Marietta and picked up Jack's ice cream cake. Then we all hung out at our apartment until our dinner reservations. We went to my favorite place in Marietta. It's called Seed. It's SOOOO good!!! Dad says "best drink he's ever had!!" We had a nice fancy birthday dinner for Jack and he got to drink with all of us!!

After dinner, we went back to the apartment and had our cake and sang happy birthday. Then when we were all ready, we went to Dave and Buster's so Jack could have a "grown up" Snow Cone his favorite!! We played all the arcade games and it was so fun!! After that we went to The Vortex which is a burger bar that's pretty cool!! It was on Food Network! My friend Mia met us out there for a drink too. After that, we dropped off Mom, Dad, and Mike cause' Jack had met someone from a bar that told him he could have a free drink if we went to that bar. So we went there had our drink and then we all went to bed.

Alcoholic Snow Cones

The next day was really fun. We went downtown and walked around the city and went to the CNN Center and walked around the shops there. We went to the Hard Rock Cafe and had a quick drink there and then walked across the street to the Westin. There's an observation deck on the 72nd floor and a rotating restaurant/bar on the 73rd floor. I was not a fan, lol. I hate heights. However, it was cool and I'd show you pictures, but I was not getting near the windows lol.

Walking around downtown, we found a fountain green for St. Patrick's Day!

had to take a Bison family photo!! \m/

Me and my man :)

After a drink at the Westin, we left and drove back to the apartment to let Peach out. Then we went out for dinner at Pappadeaux's, which is a seafood restaurant. IT WAS SOOO GOOD!! Very filling though!! We were so full!! Then I decided we had better take Jack bar-hopping for real to some college bars so we went to an area called Buckhead. It's very trendy (Elton John lives there) but there's one strip of bars that is very much a college section. Jack loved the bars there!! After we had gone to about 5 bars, we ended at a bar called Buckhead Saloon (my favorite bar so far that I've found here) and it has a dance floor and it's fun. Jack decided "this is the bar we're closing."Lol. Mom was tired and I wanted to check on Peach and didn't want to have to play the sober person for the whole night. So she drove us back to the hotel and then, I took a cab back and met them back at the bar.

We went to one other bar after that, and my friend Chip met us out there with his boyfriend. It was so fun!! Then, Jack looked at me and went, "we should go home." Lol, at least he knows. So we got a cab back and then went to bed.

The next morning while the boys were all sleeping, I called Mom and asked her if she wanted to take Peach for a walk with me cause' it was so nice out. She said yes, and I went to pick her up and then Dad came with her and then we went for a walk around the lakes of our apartment complex. After that, I dove them back to their hotel and everyone showered and got ready. We went to the zoo and then that night we had a last meal at a restaurant called the Orient Express and had Japanese Hibachi food. Soo good!! Mike and I drove them back to their hotel and said our goodbyes. Amazing and wonderful time with my family!! I'm so glad they were there and that I got to spend my brother's 21st birthday with him!!

At the Zoo!

After that, I had 2 weeks of finals and then spent my spring break at our apartment chilling out and hanging out with my friends finally not in a school setting!! We had a bonfire at my apartment complex. It was relaxing and so fun.

Here are some pictures of my break. This is a photo of my class (not everyone's in it) we took a picture to celebrate accomplishing 1 year of chiropractic school!!

Here's a picture of me, Byron, and Monyka celebrating finals are over with margaritas!!

Now back to the current quarter....here's my first day of the quarter photo!!

Quick shout-out to all of my readers, please pray for my Uncle Dan and my family. Dan has been diagnosed with cancer and while it was caught early, it is still very scary knowing a family member is in pain and has to go through chemo and radiation. God is definitely with us and will carry us through this tough time.  I'm praying about 3 times a day, and reading my Bible every morning, but any extra prayers are always appreciated and heard by our awesome Father!! I wish I was home with my family, and it's very difficult to be away for this.

Finally, this weekend I spent my time NOT in the library for once. I went to an activator seminar. Activator is a chiropractic technique that uses a tool called an activator that chiropractors use for certain adjustments. In order to practice any technique, not only do I have to graduate, I have to attend seminars to get certified in them. So I finally have started going to the seminars to begin certification. It was really cool taking the basic course! I have to take 2 more seminars with activator in order to certify with them. Today was awesome though, because at the seminar, I was able to give my first adjustment!! I got to double check it too and I did it correctly!! Amazing!!! So excited to do more adjustments!!!

It's week 3 starting tomorrow and I really have to buckle down again for all of our upcoming midterms!! Still, thinking of planning something for my birthday because there is no school on my birthday this quarter because it's the same day as national boards so all our teacher's are busy!!

That is all for now!!! I will try to update again before the quarter is over, but I don't know how well that will happen!!!
