So since my last post, I've been going on turbo drive!! It was the beginning of Quarter 4 last time. Quarter 4 is over and now it's the beginning of Quarter 5!! Which means, I've now been in chiropractic school for a year!!
Last quarter I was able to pass all of my classes even though it was very stressful!! This quarter is going to be just as stressful with even more credits. Plus, 6 out of 8 of my courses have labs, so I'm always on campus in class!! I spend 38 hours a week in class!! AHHH!!! Talk about a full time job for sure!!! The only nice thing is that I'm to a lot of the "fun" stuff now so I enjoy being in the labs.
So, let me catch you all up on what happened last quarter!!
On Jan 27th, Mike and I celebrated Peach's 1st Birthday!! She got really spoiled!! We took her to Petco so she could get a new toy and then we took her to to Dog City Bakery where we got her some treats and a mini-birthday cake!! She really likes her birthday. Lol
Not too long after Peach's birthday. I went home to go to a concert, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, at the Fargo Theater with my family. It was awesome, and was so nice to get to spend the weekend with my family!! I got to leave a day early that week too because we got a "snow storm" here so I had school cancelled all week!!
On March 12th, my parents and my brother flew out here to celebrate my baby brother's 21st birthday!!! It was soo much fun to get to see them for the weekend!!! After they got here, we went out to dinner. After dinner, Mom, Dad, and Mike went to bed and Jack and I waited up til midnight so Jack could have his first drink!!!

We might have overdone it that first night, LOL. Jack was so excited he wanted to try everything, and even though I made sure he drank 2 waters after everything, I think it was just too much mixing different liquors. The next morning for Jack's "full" birthday we went out for lunch, but he wasn't feeling too well so he went back to sleep. My parents and I went on a little tour of Marietta and picked up Jack's ice cream cake. Then we all hung out at our apartment until our dinner reservations. We went to my favorite place in Marietta. It's called Seed. It's SOOOO good!!! Dad says "best drink he's ever had!!" We had a nice fancy birthday dinner for Jack and he got to drink with all of us!!
After dinner, we went back to the apartment and had our cake and sang happy birthday. Then when we were all ready, we went to Dave and Buster's so Jack could have a "grown up" Snow Cone his favorite!! We played all the arcade games and it was so fun!! After that we went to The Vortex which is a burger bar that's pretty cool!! It was on Food Network! My friend Mia met us out there for a drink too. After that, we dropped off Mom, Dad, and Mike cause' Jack had met someone from a bar that told him he could have a free drink if we went to that bar. So we went there had our drink and then we all went to bed.
Alcoholic Snow Cones
The next day was really fun. We went downtown and walked around the city and went to the CNN Center and walked around the shops there. We went to the Hard Rock Cafe and had a quick drink there and then walked across the street to the Westin. There's an observation deck on the 72nd floor and a rotating restaurant/bar on the 73rd floor. I was not a fan, lol. I hate heights. However, it was cool and I'd show you pictures, but I was not getting near the windows lol.
Walking around downtown, we found a fountain green for St. Patrick's Day!
had to take a Bison family photo!! \m/
After a drink at the Westin, we left and drove back to the apartment to let Peach out. Then we went out for dinner at Pappadeaux's, which is a seafood restaurant. IT WAS SOOO GOOD!! Very filling though!! We were so full!! Then I decided we had better take Jack bar-hopping for real to some college bars so we went to an area called Buckhead. It's very trendy (Elton John lives there) but there's one strip of bars that is very much a college section. Jack loved the bars there!! After we had gone to about 5 bars, we ended at a bar called Buckhead Saloon (my favorite bar so far that I've found here) and it has a dance floor and it's fun. Jack decided "this is the bar we're closing."Lol. Mom was tired and I wanted to check on Peach and didn't want to have to play the sober person for the whole night. So she drove us back to the hotel and then, I took a cab back and met them back at the bar.
We went to one other bar after that, and my friend Chip met us out there with his boyfriend. It was so fun!! Then, Jack looked at me and went, "we should go home." Lol, at least he knows. So we got a cab back and then went to bed.
The next morning while the boys were all sleeping, I called Mom and asked her if she wanted to take Peach for a walk with me cause' it was so nice out. She said yes, and I went to pick her up and then Dad came with her and then we went for a walk around the lakes of our apartment complex. After that, I dove them back to their hotel and everyone showered and got ready. We went to the zoo and then that night we had a last meal at a restaurant called the Orient Express and had Japanese Hibachi food. Soo good!! Mike and I drove them back to their hotel and said our goodbyes. Amazing and wonderful time with my family!! I'm so glad they were there and that I got to spend my brother's 21st birthday with him!!
After that, I had 2 weeks of finals and then spent my spring break at our apartment chilling out and hanging out with my friends finally not in a school setting!! We had a bonfire at my apartment complex. It was relaxing and so fun.
Here are some pictures of my break. This is a photo of my class (not everyone's in it) we took a picture to celebrate accomplishing 1 year of chiropractic school!!
Here's a picture of me, Byron, and Monyka celebrating finals are over with margaritas!!
Now back to the current quarter....here's my first day of the quarter photo!!
Quick shout-out to all of my readers, please pray for my Uncle Dan and my family. Dan has been diagnosed with cancer and while it was caught early, it is still very scary knowing a family member is in pain and has to go through chemo and radiation. God is definitely with us and will carry us through this tough time. I'm praying about 3 times a day, and reading my Bible every morning, but any extra prayers are always appreciated and heard by our awesome Father!! I wish I was home with my family, and it's very difficult to be away for this.
Finally, this weekend I spent my time NOT in the library for once. I went to an activator seminar. Activator is a chiropractic technique that uses a tool called an activator that chiropractors use for certain adjustments. In order to practice any technique, not only do I have to graduate, I have to attend seminars to get certified in them. So I finally have started going to the seminars to begin certification. It was really cool taking the basic course! I have to take 2 more seminars with activator in order to certify with them. Today was awesome though, because at the seminar, I was able to give my first adjustment!! I got to double check it too and I did it correctly!! Amazing!!! So excited to do more adjustments!!!
It's week 3 starting tomorrow and I really have to buckle down again for all of our upcoming midterms!! Still, thinking of planning something for my birthday because there is no school on my birthday this quarter because it's the same day as national boards so all our teacher's are busy!!
That is all for now!!! I will try to update again before the quarter is over, but I don't know how well that will happen!!!
