LIGHTS OF LIFE!!

Here's what has happened since my last post.

 

I FINALLY got my grade for my budget meal. I got a 90%! Yay! My final in that class is on Wednesday next week, and I figured out that even if I get a 0 on it, I will still get an A in the class!! So that's a good sign!!

 

My psychology class is now over. I had my final today. I had 3 bonus points that I earned at the beginning of the quarter that apply to my final. Although, I'm 99.9% certain that I don't even need them, because I'm pretty sure I got a 100 on my final!! Which means with the bonus points, I will have gotten a 103!! Also, we got the grade back for our paper for that class and we got a 99!! Yay!! I know for certain I got an A in that class!!

 

On Monday Johanna (I met her at Life Leadership Weekend in April) finally moved here! (She starts at Life in January) I hung out with her and on Tuesday we went to dinner. Tonight we went to Marietta Diner for dinner and then we went to Life to go see the school all lit up for Christmas! Her mom leaves tomorrow and then she and I are going to go explore Marietta. Also, we are going to go watch the Bison football game together on Saturday!! I'm so excited that it will finally be on TV and that I can watch it!! She's going back home on Wednesday and then comes back to Marietta a week before I do for her orientation.

Week 9 and FAMILY!

I'm almost done with my first quarter at Life!! I can't believe it has gone by so fast!! So here is what's going on with my life right now.

Unfortunately, after almost a month with no bugs, I found a cockroach this week! UGH!!! YUCK!! Thankfully, it was obviously poisoned because it could barely move, GROSS, but it's gone now and I haven't seen one since.

School Work:
My presentation that my teacher was really impressed with? Yeah, we got a 110%!! Woo hoo!! I was so happy, she gave us 10 extra credit points for going above and beyond her expectations!! Yay!!

Still no word on the budget meal assignment...and I keep checking everyday, SO annoying. Hopefully I did well! Also, I turned in a psychology paper and no word on that either. We don't have class this week, but our final is on Thursday. My final for my nutrition class is Wednesday, the 18th. Then I come home on the 19th!! Yay!!

On Friday it was the triplets 21st birthday and I was so bummed I couldn't be there, but I will make up for it when I come home! I went to bed early and woke up on Saturday morning to my phone ringing and Uncle Zig called me and said that he and his family were coming to Atlanta to go shopping and they wanted to visit me and go out for dinner! I was SO excited because I was getting very bored in my apartment and lonely for my family.

They came and picked me up, and they all got out of the car and gave me a huge hug and we went out for dinner. Here is me and Zig at dinner last night. We went to an Indian restaurant in an area called Little Five Points.

                           

 

Then after dinner they dropped me off at my place and went back to their hotel. Today they picked me up and we went to the High Museum of Art, Atlanta. We went to two different exhibits. One was all about photography and the other was called the wild west and had a bunch of pictures of Indians. It was so cool to hear Zig talk about every single photograph. He knew almost every single photographer and explained every single picture and what they were thinking about when they took that picture. After the museum, we went to Costco so they could buy some stuff and I got to use their card and get some stuff too! We just had dinner at Marietta Diner, and now they are driving back to Savannah. It was so nice to have family here. I was just so happy that they came down here and I got to see them. It really helped me feel like I'm not alone and really good to have family so close. I'm just so grateful that they thought of me on their trip to Atlanta. They told me that the next time they come to Atlanta they will let me know so we can hang out. Also, when I get another break (after Christmas) I'm going to go visit them in Savannah.

Anyway, I'm going to go study for my finals now and stare at my Christmas tree. Current countdown to home: 11 days!!

                                             

Thanksgiving Break and Homework!!

WOW, IS ALL THAT I CAN SAY!! This weekend was wonderful!!

First let's start with where we left off.

My apartment is still bug free, lol. I got my assignment for my nutrition class done, and was one of the only 4 people that turned it in on time because everyone thought it was due THIS week. Not true. Still no grade yet, but I have to do have done better than everyone that didn't turn it in.

After my class, it was off to the airport! I met Christy and Randi Jo (Cliff ended up staying here) on campus and we all drove to the airport together. We were going chill together at the airport but they were in concourse A, and I was in concourse T, lol. Oh well, it gave me time to finish The Book Thief.

I was lucky enough that none of my flights were late or cancelled and I made it to Fargo on time and safely. 

I got off the plane and Mike was there to greet me and we went and found my luggage. Then, Mom and Dad were in the car and I was so excited to see them! We went home and had some drinks celebrating I was home and then Jack came home. Yay! I was so happy to be with my family. It was late so they went to bed, but Mike and I went to Vic's and then to the Fryn' Pan for dinner because I hadn't gotten to eat because I was making sure I got on my overbooked flights!

Next morning woke up and went to Grandma Connie's and got to see my mom's side of the family and had thanksgiving dinner with them! I was so happy to get to hang out with them! I missed them so much!! 

After dinner there, we went to my aunt Barb's new house and I got to see my family on my dad's side! I was so overwhelmed by all of them getting up to hug me that I bawled. I missed everyone so much and it was great to see them! We played a game that we normally play for Xmas and then had appetizers and just visited with family. 

Later after we left there, Mom, Tracy, Dianne, Natalie, Natasha, Niel, and Maria and I all went after thanksgiving shopping. First we went to target, then herbergers and then kohls. Got some great deals and got done around 1:30am. 

On the full day of Friday, Mike had to get some work done so I borrowed his car. I went and visited Dr. Bruce and got adjusted and visited with him about school. Then I went to my dad's office to go check on the bus. It looks great! After that, I just hung out with Mike at the house until around 5. Then I borrowed his car and went to Vic's again to see more people. After about an hour I walked down the hall to visit with Jill at the jewelry store. So good to see her again! After it looked like her boss wanted me to leave, lol I went and got Mike and we went to my aunt Lisa's house for thanksgiving leftovers. 

After dinner, Mom, Dad, Tosh, Mike, and I went to the new Hunger Games movie (Catching Fire) and it was so good!

Saturday, Mike and I went to Vic's to play bingo and I won $25! I still got it!! Then we went home and visited with my family for an hour and then went out to eat on a date together. 

Sunday, lounged around in the morning and then, Grandma Connie, Tracy, Mom, Mike and I went to The Book Thief movie! I'd been trying to finish that book before I got home so we could see the movie since they had read the book. It was pretty good, all though I know Mike wasn't exactly a fan, lol, oh well. Then we went home and had Chinese food and watched Once Upon a Time. Just a nice evening with the family.

On Monday, I said goodbye to my family and my Dad took me to the airport. I was feeling a little sad about leaving them, and then the plane I'm waiting to board had Michael and Michelle on it and it was great to get to see them!! Unfortunately my flight got a little delayed and I missed my connecting flight in Chicago. Thankfully, I only had to wait an hour for another plane to get back to Atlanta.

I was so exhausted, because after a day of travel I had to go work with my Psychology group and work on our presentation that was Tuesday. Our presentation went really well, and our teacher told us that she was very impressed, so that's a good sign!!

Just finished my last two assignments of the quarter, and I'm so happy and relieved that they are all done with!! Now all I have to focus on is 2 more tests!! Yay!! Then I get to come home for Christmas Break for 3 weeks!! Current Countdown: 15 Days!! I can't wait!!
